Rajasthan rape: IAS officer still absconding

Jaipur, Feb 25 : The Rajasthan Police on Tuesday said Indian Administrative Service (IAS) BB Mohanty, who was charged with rape and sexual exploitation, is still absconding.
A 23-year-old IAS aspirant filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Mohanty on Jan 25.
On Feb 5, the Rajasthan government suspended Mohanty, after the woman civil services aspirant alleged that he raped her over the past one year.
The police had also issued summons to Rajasthan Civil Services Appellate Tribunal chairman BB Mohanty to appear before them for questioning.
However, Mohanty went absconding, as per police sources.
The woman's statement had been recorded.
