Now Modi basks in Salman Khan glory
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday came together before the media where he did not endorse Modi as the future prime minister but at the same time showered praise on him for his work and popularity.
The two also lunched together.
Avoiding a direct answer on whether he endorsed Modi as the future PM of India, Salman Khan said "may the best man be the PM." He said he was happy with the development in Gujarat and every country should be developed.
The two were together at a traditional kite-flying festival and Salman Khan said he was happy to see that people loved their chief minister so much.
Salman Khan added that he wished Modi gets what he deserves.
"This is the first time we are meeting. I hope we get along," he said.
Salman Khan, who recently was criticised for taking part in a show in Uttar Pradesh when many riot-hit people are suffering in camps and children are dying, is promoting his film Jai Ho in Gujarat.
"Having Undhiyu for lunch with Salman Khan. Undhiyu is a Gujarati delicacy and is a must-have during Uttarayan!" later Modi tweeted.
Modi also posted an image with Salman Khan on his Twitter page.
