Ludhiana, Feb 23 : Taking a dig at Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi for his graft bills, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)'s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi said the government is crying foul over corruption when its own kitty is full of same.

"Now-a-day Congress leaders are targetting others over corruption, which surprises me. The irony is all alphabets in English indicate Congress's grafts, like A for Adarsh scam, B-Bofors scam, C for Coal scam," Modi attacked while addressing a 'Fateh' rally in Ludhiana in Punjab.

Speaking at the rally, he said farmers from Punjab has developed the lakhpat region in Kutch.

"Some people have spread rumours that Sikhs are targetted in Gujarat. But Sikhs or any people have right to stay in the state like me. My Sikh farmers will never go from Gujarat," he said.

The Gujarat Chief Minister said that Gujaratis and Sikhs have done several developmental works together throughout the world.

"The ally of Shiromoni Akali Dal and the BJP is not merely a political alliance to fight elections.. but is an alliance of social brotherhood and unity of people," Modi said.

He said the Congress is against this and that Punjab CM Prakash Singh Badal has curbed their corruption here in Punjab.

"Congress is troubled that due to BJP-Akali alliance their divide and rule games cannot work. Their design has failed," the aspiring PM said.

"It was believed that incumbent governments change but Badal Sahab broke that trend. Punjab chose development," Modi added.

Slamming the ruling party in Centre he said, "Sadly Congress believes only one family needs to be glorified. They forget Lala Lajpat Rai, Badal Sahab remembered them."

Modi called himself a soldier and said that even if the country elects him as a PM, he will work as a "chaukidar" (watchman) of people's money.

"I will never let any Hand touch the coffers," he promised.

He also praised Badal's Krushi Mela as a step towards making agriculture modern, focussing on value addition and increasing productivity.

"Based on agriculture, manufacturing and service sector, we can develop the economy of the country," Modi said.

Speaking on agricultural development, he said, "We need to bring technology in agriculture and make value addition on what the farmers develop to make them sustain well."

Modi said that procurement, management and distribution are the three basis on which agriculture will grow.

He said, "During elections NDA is National Democratic Alliance but in Government we work as National Development Alliance."

He said the Centre plays with the emotions of the ex-servicemen.

"One Ran One Pension was a long standing demand. Sadly the Centre plays with emotions of our servicemen," the BJP leader said.

Speaking on the infiltration in the border areas, Modi said," We need to protect the borders..we can't let the our borders to be infiltrated...we can't ruin our nation."
