Posted on Feb 20 2014 | IBNS

New Delhi, Feb 19 : West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday said her Trinamool Congress (TMC) will contest in all 42 seats in the state.

She said her party will fight elections in different states across the country.

"We will fight all 42 seats in West Bengal and the TMC will contest elections in different states," Banerjee told CNN-IBN.

Banerjee said the federal front will form the government at the Centre.

"It is time. If you can work in state, you can work at the Centre also. The next government will be a federal front government, not UPA or NDA," she said.

Social activist Anna Hazare, who came all out in support of Banerjee in New Delhi on Wednesday, said the West Bengal Chief Minister has potential to bring change in the country.

"I support Mamata Banerjee's thoughts about society. I have not supported her party. I supported her because Didi stays simple, has simple food... she refused government car, bungalow, who does this?? This kind of leader was expected in the country, but we have got none for ages. Now that we got that leadership in her, I think there will bring change in our country," Hazare said at a joint press conference with Banerjee here.

Hazare also met Banerjee on Tuesday and said the country needs people like the West Bengal Chief Minister in politics.
