Double for Anikt Gupta in national motorcycle racing
Pune's Anikit Gupta completed a fine double in the first round of the FMSCI National Motorcycle Racing Championship here Sunday.
Competing in the Group D 165cc class, Gupta, winner of the first race Saturday, continued his domination by triumphing in the second outing Sunday, sparing three seconds to second-placed Rajiv while Deva U. came in third.
In the Group C 165cc Open, Jagan Kumar of TVS Racing riding a TVS Apache took the honours after Saturday's winner Sarath Kumar retired on the last lap due to mechanical problems.
