Rejecting Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP)'s proposal of dissolution of the Delhi Assembly, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung has recommended President's Rule in the national capital, media reports said.

The Lt Governor has also recommended that the Delhi Assembly be put under suspended animation.

"According to sources, Jung sought the Law Ministry's opinion before recommending President's Rule," CNN-IBN channel reported.

Jung rejected the dissolution of the 70-member Delhi Assembly as recommended by the council of ministers headed by Arvind Kejriwal when they met Friday after the AAP decided to quit the government.

Hours after the AAP government-backed Jan Lokpal Bill was not tabled in the Delhi Assembly, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal resigned on Friday after remaining in power for 49 days.
