Comedian Stephen Colbert declares himself new First Lady of France
Comedy Central satirist Stephen Colbert has proclaimed himself as the new First Lady of France.
While explaining how he got his new title on his show 'The Colbert Report', the comedian said that he had bagged the seat next to Michelle Obama, which is traditionally reserved for the foreign first lady, at the State Dinner when French president Francois Hollande came without a date, the Politico reported.
Colbert, 49, told the nation on his show that he has so much responsibility now and every first lady has her initiatives.
He promised to revive the guillotine and finally bring Jean Valjean to justice.
While showing off his table place card and the menu decorated with the official White House seal, Colbert said that it was a magical evening and he also stole the gravy boat.
