The Jodhpur sessions court will on Thursday read out the charges against self-styled godman Asaram Bapu in a sexual assault case.

According to reports, the charges against Asaram include rape, wrongful confinement, criminal conspiracy and intimidation.

"The session's court retained all the charges slapped against Asaram in the case by the police including those under Section 7/8 of POCSO Act except Section 26 of Juvenile Justice Act," reported CNN-IBN.

Earlier this week, the court rejected Asaram's second application for bail.

The Jodhpur Police on Nov 6, 2013 filed chargesheet against Asaram and four others in connection with the sexual assault case of a teenaged minor in a hostel run by the godman.

Asaram was sent to the Jodhpur Central Jail on Sept 2, 2013 after the court remanded him to a 14-day judicial custody first for allegedly sexially assaulting the minor.

Asaram had passed potency test, which established that he is medically fit and sexually potent.

The 15-year-old girl, who was staying at Asaram's hostel in Rajasthan's Jodhpur, had filed a First Information Report (FIR) at Kamla market police station in Delhi alleging she was sexually assaulted by the godman.
