India back in Olympic fold

New Delhi, Feb 11 : The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has revoked the ban imposed on the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), marking India's return to the Olympic fold.
The decision comes just days after IOA held elections as per IOC directives.
World Squash Federation (WSF) chief N. Ramachandran was elected unopposed as the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) president in the polls on Sunday.
He is the younger brother of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president N Srinivasan.
In the polls here, Kho Kho Federation of India president Rajeev Mehta and All India Tennis Association (AITA) chief Anil Khanna were also elected as the secretary general and the treasurer of the IOA respectively.
International Olympic Committee (IOC)'s representatives were present at the polls.
