Tanmoy Bose plays with BETTY

Kolkata, Feb 10 : Renowned percussionist Tanmoy Bose recently shared the stage with pop music trio BETTY at the International Council for Cultural Research (ICCR).
The performance was supported by the U.S. State Department and U.S. Consulate, Kolkata to promote tolerance, equality and fight gender based violence through music and deepen U.S. India relations through cultural exchanges.
Commending the efforts of U.S. Consulate and the U.S. State Department, Tanmoy Bose said," I have been part of these types of programmes organised by the U.S. State Department and the U.S. Consulate and I really appreciate their endeavour to support voices to stop violence on women, girls and boys."
Speaking on Band BETTY, Tanmoy said,"They are part of mainstream music, and they give their message through it."
All praise about the Indian maestro, members of Band Betty said," We privileged and honoured to have played with Pandit Tanmoy Bose. It was a great experience."
The ace percussionist who is reputed internationally expressed his disappointment in the absence of all women band in India.
"I don't know, why all women bands are not there in India, while they are present in the west," he said.
