By Saleem Iqbal Qadri, Srinagar, Feb 9 : A Kashmiri girl student, who has developed an Android application for her college in Punjab, was honoured by Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on Sunday.
Rumaisa was honoured at Technical Education Summit in presence of over two thousand educationists and about fifty thousand students.
Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal presented her a memento.
Rumaisa recently developed 'Aryans Android App' to make her college campus paper-free, as claimed by the college management.
Three of her friends - Sadiya, Yusra, and Zeenat - had helped her in the project.
Rumaisa said that she could not take this initiative without the help of her faulty members and the college management.
Chairman of the College Anshu Kataria said that the application has been developed using Java language and the software used is Eclipse.
"The application is primarily intended for students and staff members," he said.
