Ilayaraja's wife dead
Chennai, Nov 1: Popular Tamil Music Director Ilayaraja's wife Jeeva died here this morning following a heart attack.
She was 60 and is survived by her husband, sons Yuvan Shankar Raja and Karthik Raja, both composers and daughter Bhavatharini, a playback singer.
Jeeva was admitted to the Apollo Hospitals for a viral infection, where last night, she suffered a heart attack.
She had underwent a hear surgery a couple of years ago.
Mr Illayaraja, who is at Hyderabad, was rushing back to Chennai.
Her body was brought to the family's T Nagar Residence this morning.
Eminent personalities from the film world including Director Bharatiraja and Actor Vishal paid homage to the departed soul. (UNI -Posted on / )
