Bharti AXA Life Insurance enters health category

New Delhi, Sep 22 : Bharti AXA Life Insurance, a joint venture between Bharti Enterprises and AXA, today forayed into the health insurance category, with the launch of India's first triple benefit critical illness plan.

The product--Bharti AXA Life Triple Health Insurance Plan--offers cover of a maximum of three times the sum assured under the policy.

It covers 13 critical illnesses that have been classified into three groups.

On diagnosis of one of the illnesses, the policyholder can claim 100 per cent of the sum assured under the policy, and is still covered for illnesses under the remaining two groups.

Moreover, on diagnosis, future premiums payable by the policyholder are waived off.

"Bharti AXA Life Triple Health Insurance Plan is designed to not only financially protect the policyholder, but also act as an income replacement in such trying times," Bharti AXA Life Insurance CEO Sandeep Ghosh said while launching the product.

In Bharti AXA Life Insurance, Bharti Enterprises has a 74 per cent stake while the remaining owned by AXA Asia Life. (UNI -Posted on / )
