Heat wave sweeps Rajasthan; 2 die
Desert town of Bikaner recorded 47.6 degree celsius and remained hottest place in Rajasthan, even as people in the state capital of Jaipur sweltered under 45.6 degrees, Meteorology Office said here.
Like Bikaner, another desert town of Jaisalmer also reeled under severe heat wave conditions as the mercury touched 46.7 degree this afternoon.
Similar weather conditions prevailed in Churu (46.5 degrees) and Banasthali (46.4 degrees) the weatherman said.
Similarly, Kota recorded 44.4 degrees, Barmer and Ajmer recorded 43.5 degree each, they added.
Meanwhile, two people died with symptoms similar to sun stroke.
The body of one of the victim was found on board Jaipur-Bikaner intercity last night while another person was found dead at the railway station this morning, police added. (UNI -Posted on / )
