Film director and writer Chinta Ravi passes away

Thrissur(Kerala), July 4: Cinema director and writer T. Ravindran (Chinta Ravi) passed away late in the evening in a private hospital here today.

He was 65. He was under treatment for cancer. The funeral will take place later. Ravi, a left Ideologist, born in Kozhikode in 1946, had worked in Chinta and Kalakaumudi weeklies.

The picture 'Ore Thooval Pakshikal' had been received three State awards including for the best film.

He also had been received an award from The President of India for a short film regarding the life of G. Aravindan, Film Director. (UNI -Posted on / )
