Strict measures being taken against money chain fraud: Chief Minister

oommen-chandy Thiruvananthapuram, Jun 27 : Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy today told the Assembly that strict measures were being taken against money chain frauds in the state.

Though there were laws to curb money chain frauds, strict laws were needed to stop multi-level marketing of money chains, he told the Assembly during the question hour.

All the cases related to money chain would be handed over to CBCID (Economics Wing) and Additional Director General of Police (Crimes) would lead the investigation.

With regard to the flat fraud, Mr Chandy said the probe into the fraud was progressing and action had been taken against 48 companies.

The Opposition CPI(M)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) created uproar in the Assembly alleging that some questions relating to corruption and palmolein case were excluded from the list. They alleged that the government was evading those questions. (UNI -Posted on / )
