Suspected cocaine seized, 2 held

Nedumbassery, Kerala Jan 27: Drug, suspected to be cocaine liquid, has been seized from a passenger of Ecuador who tried to board Jet Airways flight to Chennai from Kochi International Airport here last evening.

The carrier, identified as Solano Raize Jimmy Wincent, has been taken into custody.

According to CIAL officials, the presence of drug was detected when his baggage was screened.

The content was liquid in yellow colour. Preliminary inspection revealed that the liquid could be cocaine.

It is also suspected that the liquid can be snake poison.

However, it will be confirmed only after a detailed test.

On grilling, Solano reportedly told the Customs Personnel that he was asked by Odiyise to carry the baggage to Chennai for which Solano would be ompensated.

Further investigation revealed that Odiyase, who also had taken boarding pass to travel in the same flight, did not enter the aircraft.

The CCTV footage showed he was leaving the terminal without taking his baggage from the terminal.

However, alert Customs Personnel nabbed Odiyase from Chennai Railway Station. (UNI)
