Alwar, Jun 25 : Sariska tiger sanctuary will soon have three more tigresses, Union Environment and Forest Minister Jairam Ramesh said here today.

Talking to reporters here this afternoon Mr Ramesh said three tigresses would soon be brought to Sariska to brigthen the prospects for breeding and rising population of the fenines in this reserve from where they were wiped out by poachers about seven years ago.

''The process of selecting tigresses for the trans-location had already begun in Ranthambhore,'' he said.

He also expressed concern over lack of breeding in the big cats in Sariska and said the experts were engaged to find the reason.

Presently there are five tigers--two tigers and three tigresses- -in Sariska. While four are brought from Ranthambhore one straying tiger was shifted from Keoladev national park-bird sanctuary--of Bharatput district.

The Union Minister reached Sariska last night and went on jungle trekking this morning.
