Motivation is to be world No1, says Roger Federer

London, Jan 21 : Roger Federer, who advanced to the Australian Open fourth round on Friday, has revealed that apart from glowing, expectant faces of his twins and their mother Mirka, his motivation lies in winning big tournaments and being world No1.

The 30-year-old downed Ivo Karlovic for his 812th victory from 998 matches on the tour.

"I feel good and I feel healthy," he said.

"I don't know if I can play another 1,000 but I feel like it's a lot of tennis. I would like to play a lot more, but it's quite a number."

A well-balanced sportsman, Federer points not to him waning for the lack of Major success over 24 months but to the quality of Djokovic, Nadal and Murray, the Daily Express reported.

"I feel my game is right where it needs to be," said Federer.

"It's going to be different tennis than at the end of last year. It's going to be more physical but I am ready for that. The motivation is to win the big tournaments, to be world No1," he added. (ANI)
