Salora International forays into mobile handset business

New Delhi, Jun 23 : Television maker Salora International today announced its foraying into the country's mobile handset business with the launch of two cellphones SM501 and SM401, at price of Rs 2,999 and Rs 2,499 respectively.

In the first phase, Salora plans to launch the mobile phones in eastern India, Delhi-NCR, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, the company said in a statement.

Speaking on the launch, Salora International Ltd Managing Director Gopal Jiwarajka said, "Salora International is a leader in innovation and pioneering technology in the audio, video and telecom industry for last 35 years. This technical competence is now being incorporated by us in the Salora range of mobile phones. Its audio technology has led to an incredible sound performance with high quality K class amplifier." Both models have the design of a bar phone and come with an easily manageable dual SIM feature with an 1.3 MP camera, he added. (UNI -Posted on / )
