Zanskar

Zanskar is located about 20-km south of Rangdum and is the most isolated of all the trans-Himalayan Valleys.

The Panzela Top has the picturesque tableland adorned with two small alpine lakes and surrounded by snow-covered peaks. The majestic Drang Drung glacier can be found in this region.

There is another valley, Stod Valley which is one of Zanskar’s main tributary valleys.

By Road: The Jammu and Kashmir SRTC operates a thrice-weekly bus services from Kargil. It also has A-Class or even Super-Deluxe buses.
