Yercaud

Yercaud located on the Shevaroy hills of the Eastern Ghats is less known hill station, but has an extraordinary scenic beauty endowed with a salubrious climate.

It is also known as the Ooty of the poor. It has beautiful coffee plantations and Orange groves. The Shevaroy temple is the highest point in Yercaud.

By Air: The nearest airport is Trichy, 163-km from Yercaud.

By Rail: There is a Yercaud Express from Chennai. The Salem Junction is 36-km away from Yercaud.
 
By Road: Regular bus services ply from Chennai, Salem and other important points. Yeracaud is well connected by road to Trichy, Madurai, Bangalore, and Coimbatore.
