Agumbe 

Agumbe being one of the most scenic places on the Western Ghats of the Karnataka has the lush green view all around with spectacular sunset.  

Located about 90 km away from the District Head Quarters, Shimoga, it is accessible by road through dense forest coverage.  

The place receives high rainfall and is referred as the Cherrapunji of South India.

• By Road: Agumbe can be accesed by road from Udupi, Mangalore, Thirthahalli and Shimoga. There are private buses regularly plying from these towns.
