Mountaineering

In the southwestern part of Sikkim, lies the majestic Khangchendzonga or Kanchenjunga, ideal for mountaineering. There are also several other mountain peaks which offer some good mountaineering opportunities. Some of them are
Kabru, Kirat Chulior Tent Peak, and Sinolchu.

River Rafting

The Teesta and the Rangit rivers offer long stretches which are ideal for safe rafting. The Rangit, which is a tributary of the Teesta, has more turbulent waters and offers many challenges to more experienced rafters. The important river rafting route is Makha – Sirwani – Bardang – Rongpo ( Teesta), Sikip - Jorethang – Majitar – Melli ( Rangit).
