James Bond brought Jack White, Alicia Keys together
London, Aug 23 : White Stripes frontman Jack White gives credit to James Bond for
finally getting him to work with Alicia Keys.
White wanted to collaborate with the award-winning singer for "a couple of years".
Both the singers have recorded the duet Another Way to Die, the theme tune for the next
Bond film, Quantum of Solace.
"Alicia put some electric energy into her breath that cemented itself into the magnetic
tape. Very inspiring to watch," BBC quoted him, as saying.
He said the collaboration "gave me a new voice, and I wasn't myself any more".
"I drummed for her voice and she mimicked the guitar tones, then we joined our voices
and screamed and moaned about these characters in the film and their isolation, having
no-one to trust, not even themselves. Maybe we became them for a few minutes," he
added.
Meanwhile, the US cinema release of Quantum of Solace has been pushed back by a week after
the new Harry Potter film was also delayed.
It will now hit the big screen on 14 November.
