Charlize Theron to face trials on $20 million watchmaker lawsuit
New York, Oct 6 :: Hollywood actress Charlize Theron will face trial for allegedly
reneging on a contract with the company Raymond Weil as its brand ambassador.
The 33-year-old actress has been sued for 20 million dollars by the Swiss watchmakers
for reneging the endorsement contract specifying that she will wear only their
watches.
The legal notice came after the 'Monster' star was spotted wearing sporting a Christian
Dior watch.
Theron tried to fight the claims back in February, but this week a judge ruled that the
proceedings must indeed go to trial, reports the New York Daily News.
In the lawsuit, Raymond Weil demands the "substantial funds" estimated by lawyers to be
20 million dollars.
