Russell Brand's 'use a condom or become a Republican' jibe at Sarah Palin
Washington, Sept 9 : British comedian Russell Brand took a shot at Republican
Vice-Presidential nominee Sarah Palin and her pregnant daughter while hosting the MTV
Video Music Awards.
Brand made a series of political, sexual and off-colour remarks throughout the night,
reportedly annoying some of the celebrities in attendance.
However, his wildest remark was aimed at Alaska governor Palin.
"The safe sex message is to use a condom or become a Republican," Fox quoted Brand, as
saying.
The comedian angered some in attendance by repeatedly joking about the Jonas Brothers,
who wear purity rings as a symbol of their vow not to have premarital sex.
The 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' funnyman also encouraged Americans to vote for
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama in the upcoming election, referred to
George W. Bush as a 'retarded cowboy fella'.
