Visakhapatnam, Aug 16 : The Export Import Bank of India Executive Director S R Rao
today said increasing Globalisation process was providing many career development
opportunities to the youngsters in India.
Speaking at the 9th Convocation of Gitam Institute of International Business here he
said Textiles and Garments, Pharmaceuticals, Auto-components and Biotechnology were some
of the emerging sectors in the country.
He said more and more Indian companies were going global as reflected in the rising
trend in India's overseas direct investments, both in terms of approvals and of actual
outflows.
The growth opportunities in the Corporate sector were full of challenges, he said and
added the young generation should follow ethical practices and contribute their mite to
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
He said in the globalisation process nations competed not only with each others'
economic systems, but also with each others' research and development, and education
systems.
A competetive organisation is characterised by productivity, flexibility, speed,
affordable quality and customer focus, he opined and added many organisations emphasised
on closely integrated work groups, team work and shared information.
