Amanda Beard says she is too 'classy' to be dating Michael Phelps!
New York, Aug 20 : 14-time Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps may have what it
takes to win over women's hearts, but it looks like he's just not good enough for former
women's breaststroke champ Amanda Beard.
Rumours of romance between the athletes began to circulate earlier this week, and while
the record-breaker simply denied them, Amanda took to the airwaves on the 'Johnjay and
Rich in the Morning' radio show and made it clear that she is not dating the American
swimmer.
Beard, who has bared all for Playboy and appears in a sexy ad for PETA, also said that
she has never even kissed Phelps.
"Eww, that's nasty. I have never, ever hooked up with Michael Phelps. Come on, I have
really good taste. He's really not my type. We don't even talk to each other," the New
York Post quoted her, as saying.
When 'Extra' asked Phelps if he was dating Beard, he said :"No."
"I'm not dating Amanda Beard. I'll say that. I think she has a boyfriend," he said in
the TV show.
Asked if he's dating anyone, Phelps said: "Part of my life is kept to myself. I'm able
to relax and be with my friends. Those pretty much are the only people who really know the
answer to that question."
